LILA
LILA is an organization that helps spread awareness and support about HIV/AIDS in most of Europe. This poster was designed to help serve as an informational as well as an advertisement piece. This poster attacks the problem of HIV awareness on many fronts. First it is relating talking about HIV/AIDS to the classic "elephant in the room" phrase, by quite literally putting an elephant in place of a person. It also plays off of a statistic that 1/4 people with HIV are not aware they have HIV. Lastly it addresses a widely false belief that only men can contract HIV by including a woman as one of the four subjects. The style of the subjects relates back to what we see every day when we go to the bathroom, as talking about HIV can in some ways feel like talking about anything that goes on behind that door.
